   Chicago the Musical is based on the reports of real-life criminals and their crimes by Maurine Dallas Watkins in Chicago that was first staged in 1975.  Matron “Moma” Morton ruled the jail by bribery, corruption and a lot of greed.  She is a formidable friend and fierce enemy to have who demands respect and Favours from everyone she comes across.
